Those 2 hours went by soooooo fast, but time flies when you having fun. Thank you for those who came out. It was truly a great night of poetry ,and I was so happy to be a part of it!!!
Alex, Melanie, Stacy, and Bobby K.
Stacy (in orange) shared a couple of pieces of family, life and work. Who knew we had a closet poet in our midst....
Roger, John, Carmen and Alex.
John did a great poem about the storm. It was like you were there. He also did a caveman poem. I always enjoy hearing that one.
Carmen shared some pieces from her book of prayer poem. Most of her pieces came from things she wrote 20 years ago.
Alex did a great piece called, "Is This It?" It's short, but it is soooo spot on!! You have to hear it to fully appreciate it.
Bob and Roger.
Bob did a piece on the way things used to be. You know when people had manners and respected others. He also did a poem about life on an aircraft carrier. Shipboard life ain't no joke!
I love Roger's struggles-with-words poems. He writes what some of us think when we try to write or write outside our comfort zone.
Bobby K, Keisha, and Stacy.
Bobby K did a piece on Fashion Police that everyone should hear. Especially those who walk around with half their clothes on....
Keisha shared words and quotes of inspiration. Be on the lookout for her upcoming book on personal development.
