Poetry & Local Authors This Weekend!!

Poetry Inspired by Art

Our next Poetry Inspired by Art Event will be on Sunday, June 14 at 2:30 pm.   Attached are a couple of images of artworks in our A Journey from Realism to Abstract and Non-Objective Art Exhibition on view in our galleries.   You may either write and read poems inspired by one of the artworks in the exhibition, or because it is Flag Day you may also read a poem relating to that theme.

Hope to see you then!

Saturday Fever - Poetry Style!!

Tea for Two: Poetry in Library Park Richmond Public Library, Main Branch, 101 E.Franklin St., RVA 23219 Saturday June 6, 11am-1pm I hope you’ll join me in welcoming amazing poetesses Angela Marie Carter (whose poetic memoir Memory Chose a Woman’s Body is up for a Library of Virginia Literacy Award this year) and internationally acclaimed Nicole Yurcaba to our own River City. Having heard them both read previously, I can assure you this will be a powerful afternoon! In this second of our 2015 Tea for Two series, each will be reading
on RPL’s newly reopened veranda. As always, there will be coffee & tea (and, yes, brownies), plenty of time to relax, chat and meet the poets. In case of rain, event to be held inside.
